The Developers
Ed Reid
A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, Ed spent two decades in finance before moving into real estate investment, development, and the building trades. He co-founded Wellington Residential, the development firm behind Sawyer Farms, with David Silvester.
Over the past fourteen years he has built and renovated roughly 150 homes. Ed brings a rare combination of financial discipline and hands-on construction to Sawyer Farms: every selection and variable is settled before ground is broken.
David Silvester
A graduate of Washington and Lee University, David has led Wellington Residential for the past fifteen years, developing residential and multi-family properties throughout Tennessee. He co-founded the firm with Ed Reid and co-develops Sawyer Farms alongside him.
His focus spans architectural and interior design as well as land development—shaping how each home lives, from the grade of the lot to the finish of the rooms inside.
The Builder
The Frederick Brothers
Aaron and John are twin brothers from a small North Carolina town who followed collegiate baseball to Lookout Mountain, then settled their families on Signal Mountain. They started with a painting business around their ball schedules, grew into full home remodels, and joined a mountain-top development before turning their full attention to building quality homes across the Chattanooga area.
Both are licensed general contractors, and Frederick Bros. Construction is licensed in Tennessee, Georgia, and North Carolina. As they put it, iron sharpens iron: a lifetime of friendly competition sets the standard on every build.
Jessie Frederick
Director of Sales and Marketing Operations and a licensed Realtor in Tennessee, Jessie brings a background in brand, color, and real estate marketing, and serves as the team’s in-house agent.
Kim Frederick
Kim came from research analysis and logistics accounting before joining Frederick Bros. in 2019, where she manages the books, insurance, and audits for every project.
